Privacy Policy
Who we are: Laughing Moss Studios (“we,” “our,” “us”) — creator of Wolverton Hollow: GlyphLight Stables (“WHGLS”).

1) What we collect

  • Account & contact data: email, display name, country/region.

  • Gameplay data: stable name, progression, settings, inventory, non-personal analytics (aggregated).

  • Transaction data (if applicable): purchase ID, items, price, platform, time.

  • Support data: messages you send us, bug reports, attachments.

  • Device basics: OS, app version, language, time zone.
    We do not collect government IDs, precise GPS, or biometric data.

2) How we use data

  • Provide and improve WHGLS (game saves, matchmaking, economy integrity).

  • Security, fraud prevention, abuse response.

  • Support and communications you request (patch notes, service emails).

  • Compliance (tax, accounting, legal requests).

3) Our AI systems (Transparency)

WHGLS runs on our proprietary systems (Qiros & Amari 2.0) on our own private server. We do not use industry AI tools for gameplay, analytics, or training.
We sometimes use a third-party language tool for text only (e.g., editing support emails). We do not send gameplay data or your UGC to that tool.

4) Legal bases (EEA/UK)

  • Contract (to run the game/service you asked for)

  • Legitimate interests (security, anti-fraud, analytics with safeguards)

  • Consent (where required, e.g., email marketing; you can withdraw)

  • Legal obligation (tax, accounting)

5) Sharing

  • Payment platforms/storefronts (e.g., Steam, itch.io, App Store/Google Play) for purchases.

  • Vendors under contract (e.g., crash reporting, helpdesk) with data-protection terms.

  • Law enforcement/legal requests when required.

6) Data retention

Keep while you have an account or as needed for service, then delete or anonymize. Backups roll off on a schedule.

7) Your rights

  • EEA/UK/Swiss: access, correct, delete, portability, restrict/ object, lodge a complaint with your authority.

  • California: know/access, delete, correct, opt-out of sale/share; no discrimination.

8) Children

WHGLS is for ages 13+. If you believe a child under 13 provided data, contact us for deletion.

9) Security

We apply technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, audit logs). No system is 100% secure.

10) International transfers

Where data moves across borders, we use recognized safeguards (e.g., SCCs).

11) Cookies/analytics

Minimal cookies for session and security. Analytics are aggregated and non-personal by default. You can adjust preferences in settings where available.

Fan content

You may stream, capture, and monetize WHGLS gameplay non-commercially (ads/creator revenue is fine) if you:

  • Credit “Wolverton Hollow: GlyphLight Stables — © Laughing Moss Studios.”

  • Don’t sell our assets, logos, or soundtrack files.

  • Don’t present your work as official or endorsed.

  • Trademark and Patent Protected

User-generated content (UGC)

By posting UGC in our services (e.g., screenshots, stable names), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and promote that UGC within WHGLS and our channels, per your privacy settings.

DMCA takedown

If we believe our copyright was infringed, we will:
Include: (1) identification of the work; (2) infringing material URL; (3) contact info; (4) good-faith statement; (5) perjury statement; (6) physical/e-signature.
We may notify the user and accept valid counter-notices.

We are committed to WCAG 2.1 AA principles across our site and WHGLS UI. Current features include:

  • Lightning/flash toggle, reduced flicker effects

  • Color-safe palettes and contrast targets

  • Readable UI text with scalable font options

  • Captioned audio (ongoing rollout)

  • Input flexibility where feasible

Trademark Guidelines

Our marks include (non-exhaustive):
Wolverton Hollow: GlyphLight Stables, Wolverton Hollow, GlyphLight, Hindered, QirosAI, Amari 2.0, Laughing Moss Studios, The GlyphLight Chronicles (the “Marks”).

Permitted (no license required)

  • Nominative fair use: refer to our game to describe it (e.g., reviews, compatibility).

  • Fan use: non-commercial fan art, screenshots, streams, with clear credit and no suggestion of endorsement.

Requires permission

  • Merchandise, game servers, apps, or services using our Marks.

  • Domain names, social handles, or logos that could confuse users.

Prohibited

  • Altering our logos, using confusingly similar names/icons, or implying partnership/endorsement without permission.

Terms & Conditions

1) Agreement

By accessing WHGLS, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2) License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and play WHGLS. Do not reverse-engineer, resell, or exploit the game or its content.

3) Accounts & eligibility

You must be 13+ (or local equivalent). Keep your credentials secure; you’re responsible for activity on your account.

4) Virtual items & economy

WHGLS may include virtual items or in-game currency. They have no real-world value, are non-transferable outside the game, and may be modified or discontinued.
Asynchronous co-op trading: listings, escrow, fees, and delivery are governed by in-game rules which may change for balance or security. [Optional: Real-money trading (RMT) is prohibited.]

5) User conduct

No cheating, exploiting, botting, harassment, or IP infringement. We may suspend/terminate accounts for violations.

6) UGC license

You retain rights to your UGC but grant us a license to host, display, and promote it in connection with WHGLS.

7) Third-party platforms

Purchases via Steam/itch.io/App Store/Google Play are subject to that platform’s terms, including refunds.

8) Disclaimers

WHGLS is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness, and non-infringement.

9) Liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability will not exceed the amounts you paid to us for WHGLS in the past 12 months (if any).

10) Termination

We may terminate or suspend access for violations or legal reasons. You may stop using WHGLS at any time.

We may update these Terms; continued use means acceptance. We’ll post the effective date and material changes.

Patent Notice

Certain features of WHGLS and our AI stack may be protected by patents or patents pending.

  • Patents/Applications:

  • Covered features (examples): asynchronous escrowed listings & offline delivery; puzzle-gated protection loop integration; continuous memory orchestration for in-game agents.

Refund Policy

Purchases via third-party stores

All refunds follow the store’s rules:

  • Steam: see Steam’s refund policy.

  • itch.io: see itch.io’s seller terms.

  • App Store / Google Play: see each store’s refund process.
    We can’t override platform decisions.

Direct purchases from us (if offered)

  • Pre-orders: fully refundable until keys or downloadable content are delivered.

  • Digital items/keys: refundable within 14 days if not redeemed/played. Once downloaded, installed, or redeemed, refunds are generally not available, except where required by law.

  • Subscriptions (if any): cancel anytime; refunds prorated where required by law.

EU/UK consumers

You have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital goods unless you consent to immediate download/access, which waives that right. We’ll present this clearly at checkout.

How to request a refund

Email laughingmossstudios@gmail.com with your order ID, purchase date, storefront, and reason. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
